In the fall of 2010, Schaffer and Wagner collaborated on his stageplay, Salep & Silk, the story of two friends who meet along the silk road once a year to share stories and a meal. The narrative takes place over three distant generations from late Roman times to the industrial revolution. “Salep & Silk” was originally produced by the Montana Actors’ Theater and incorporated a dinner theater catered by The Silk Road Restaurant.
